New Year, New Vision

New Year, New Vision

“I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand on the earth.” – Job 19:25

Let’s kick off 2025 with a fresh perspective and a little wisdom from Job.

Now, hear me out—before you start thinking, “Wow, she’s really going Old Testament on me,” let’s dive into what Job can teach us about resilience and vision. Because let’s face it, this time of year isn’t just about setting goals or writing down resolutions. It’s about aligning your heart and mind for the kind of year you actually want to live.

Job 19:25-27 gives us a roadmap that’s simple, powerful, and oh-so-relevant as we step into a new year. Here’s how Job shows us how to shift our perspective, release our baggage, and remember why we’re here—all while standing firm in what really matters.

Step 1: Renew Your Perspective

Job had every reason to throw in the towel. His friends? Not helpful. His circumstances? A nightmare. But instead of focusing on what was right in front of him, Job clung to a bigger vision: God’s justice and character.

So, here’s the big question for you as we start 2025: What’s the perspective you’re choosing? Are you going to fixate on what’s wrong, or will you trust that there’s a greater purpose unfolding? This year, let’s practice seeing through the lens of hope and faith, even when things don’t make sense.

Step 2: Release the Past

Raise your hand if you’ve ever held onto something waaay too long (guilty!). Job lost everything, and yet he didn’t let his past define him. Instead, he let go of what was gone so he could move forward.

This is your permission slip to leave behind what no longer serves you—grudges, failures, even the stuff you didn’t get quite right last year. Let it go. Your hands can’t catch new blessings if they’re clenched in the past.

Step 3: Remember Your Purpose

Job knew one thing: his life wasn’t about him. He existed to glorify God, plain and simple. And that clarity? It gave him the strength to keep going.

So as you step into this new year, ask yourself: What’s my purpose? What’s the ‘why’ that keeps me grounded? Write it down, make it your screensaver, tattoo it on your heart—whatever you need to do to remember it.

Here’s the truth: 2025 doesn’t need to be perfect to be meaningful.

If you renew your perspective, release the past, and remember your purpose, you’ll step into the year with clarity and confidence—and that, my friend, is the best resolution you could ever make.

So tell me, what’s one thing you’re letting go of this year? Drop it in the comments—I’m here to cheer you on every step of the way. Let’s make 2025 the year of bold faith, big vision, and even bigger blessings. You in?
